Ingredients

  • 3 ripe pears, sliced into wedges and cored

  • 1 x 250g pouch cooked white sorghum and oats

  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • A handful of nuts and seeds (e.g., flaked almonds, pumpkin seeds)

  • Grove & Meadow's Plant-Based Yogurt (thick, creamy, and packed with probiotics!)

  • Grove & Meadow's Cashew Nut Butter (rich, smooth, and made with real nuts!)

  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil (for cooking)

Preparation

Caramelize the Pears: Heat 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the pear wedges and cook for 2-3 minutes until the underside begins to brown. Flip the wedges, then add half the honey and half the cinnamon. Stir to coat the pears and cook for another 2 minutes until tender and golden. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  1. Toast the Sorghum and Oats: Re-oil the pan with another teaspoon of coconut oil. Add the cooked white sorghum and oats, along with the remaining honey, cinnamon, and a handful of nuts and seeds. Stir to combine, then let cook for 2-3 minutes without stirring to crisp up some sections and toast the nuts and seeds.

  2. Assemble the Bowl: Divide the toasted sorghum and oats between bowls. Top with the caramelized pears, a generous dollop of Grove & Meadow's Plant-Based Yogurt, and a drizzle of Grove & Meadow's Cashew Nut Butter.

  3. Serve and Enjoy: Dig in and savor the cozy, autumnal flavors!
